Senior Manager, Tax - Strategy & Planning

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Tax Strategy & Planning to be based in our office in Schiphol, Netherlands.

We are looking for you to be experienced in complex compliance and corporate tax planning.

What will you be doing?

• As part of the central tax team, you are responsible for developing and implementing planning and strategy initiatives, identification of tax risks, and tax technical analyses of the impact of new legislation.
• The job will involve international projects throughout the entire LG group. You will work with a wide range of multi-discipline teams and internal and external stakeholders. As the Dutch technical specialist within the team, you will be in the lead for the technical analysis of that Dutch part of the group.
• The position involves leading on providing tax solutions on complex projects, financing transactions or business initiatives, including developing structuring ideas, review of legal transaction documents, due diligence or structuring of acquisitions/dispositions, establishment of JV arrangements, and internal reorganizations.

Key Accountabilities

• The Dutch technical positions in our group taken are your responsibility. You are capable of doing complex technical Dutch tax analyses and are not afraid to take decisions on the basis thereof.
• Leading, managing, and delivering tax input on business-driven projects and transactions, and representing the tax team in (senior) stakeholder meetings.
• You proactively monitor new international and Dutch tax legislative developments and consider their impact on the tax position of the wider group, providing constructive workable solutions and advice in light of the currently rapidly changing tax landscape.
• You know when to do the analysis in-house or when to seek external assistance. In doing that, you manage spend and ensure a pragmatic approach of advisors.
• Working with and developing more junior members of the tax team and fostering an environment in which everyone works collaboratively to achieve goals and objectives for the wider group.

We tend to look for people with:

• Proven tax experience in a large group environment or advisory firm.
• Proven technical Dutch corporate tax experience within an international context.
• You like analyzing tax aspects around complex transactions and provide input to legal (transaction) documentation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention for detail. Recognize technical and commercial issues and able to communicate the implications effectively.
• Proactive, not afraid to take the lead and in search of a challenging environment to thrive.
• Ambitious, energetic & hard worker. We are looking for a driven team member with a strong focus on output and long-term vision.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
