Senior Technician, Chromatography

Join our innovation team as a Senior Technician in Analytical Sciences

As a Senior Technician, you will work side by side with other technicians and scientists in the field of Analytical Sciences. You will have excellent opportunities to learn and grow in a global and intercultural environment. The team you will join is responsible for developing, applying, and implementing analytical methods for various classes of compounds such as metabolites, lipids, and/or carbohydrates in complex microbial and food matrices. The team applies advanced analytical workflows using, for example, Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, including (automated) sample preparation, data processing, and data handling, and maintains a state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities

• Accurately conduct, optimize, or develop Gas Chromatography (or Liquid Chromatography) analyses
• Execute, optimize, automate, and develop sample preparation protocols
• Perform data processing and data management
• Report data and present findings to project teams
• Maintain analytical equipment and troubleshooting

You bring

• Finished Master or Bachelor (Analytical) Chemistry or related sciences
• Affinity and experience with automation and data science is a pre
• A strong sense of accountability
• Curiosity and an open mind
• You are result-driven, flexible, and a team-player
• Good communication skills and reporting in English
