We are looking for a Global Category Procurement Manager Market Research to join our procurement team.

The Category Procurement Manager Market Research is responsible for the End to End global strategy and sourcing of Market Research Services. As the Category Procurement Manager Market Research, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, fostering supplier relationships, and optimizing costs & value within the category. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes on a global scale, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and maximizing value for the company by driving initiatives within the Marketing landscape.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience specifically in the field of Marketing and/or Procurement, preferably related to consumer market insights
  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certifications is a plus.
  • Fields of Expertise: Market & Consumer Insight, Digital Media, Market Intelligence, Retail/Trade Marketing
  • Functional Skills: Strategic Sourcing, Strong Stakeholder Management, Negotiation Skills, Strong Analytical & Strategic Insight Skills, Marketing/CM understanding, Category & Supplier Management

Job Description

Market Research is the primary insight used for product & marketing campaigns development. Given the very fierce competition environment in which we are in, this category is of high importance. The Market Research category spans across Continuous and Ad Hoc Research, qualitative and quantitative. Responsible for managing Commercial aspects of our relationship with our key global partners in the areas of Continuous, Strategic Market Monitoring which includes retail measurement, household and consumer panel studies, brand health tracking and more. Next to this, the Category Procurement Manager Market Research will also be responsible for managing relationships and commercial aspects of Ad Hoc Research for targeted studies.

The Category Procurement Manager Market Research works closely with the Global and Business Group Insights & Analytics teams to optimize partnerships and provide guidance to the Business Groups & OpCo’s on how to bring efficiency to Market Research projects. The role will also explore opportunities to enhance data-driven insights, digital enablers that connect, accelerate & amplify insights to support FrieslandCampina’s strategic decision-making.

Main responsibilities/goals are to:

  • Establish strategic procurement category management (incl. building and implementing strategies)
  • Advise Business stakeholders on sourcing approach, supplier management and internal/external insights
  • Carry out Supplier Relationship Management (very large corporations)
  • Deliver on Procurement KPIs (e.g. non-exhaustive list: hard savings, cost avoidance, value add, contract coverage, Supplier Relationship Management, value pipeline, vendor reduction …)
  • Plan & forecast Procurement activities
  • Decrease complexity (e.g. process, vendor counts …) and drive transparency
  • Manage risk & compliance (incl. data privacy)
