About the Opportunity

For our Global Marketing team based in Amsterdam Schiphol, we're looking for a Global Brand Manager to work on one of PVM’s most iconic brands — Chupa Chups! In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Global Senior Brand Manager and Marketing Manager to drive incremental growth for the brand by developing new products and successfully bringing them to market. You’ll work closely with local teams and operating companies to translate Group initiatives into local commercial success, with a primary focus on European markets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the category under management and brand activation plans on an annual basis.
  • Responsible for international new product development beginning with product brief through to launch (working with all relevant Departments of the Company). Focus is on profitable and scalable NPD’s that are on brand and category strategy.
  • Partner with CMI at Group and Local level to recommend consumer research that translates insights to actionable plans for NPD’s and/or consumer engagement.
  • Collaborate with local marketing teams to translate global NPD’s, brand positioning and category expertise to local commercial execution.
  • Create strong working relationships with cross functional Group level partners to facilitate development and execution of Global brand and category strategic vision.
  • Support Communication development for assigned projects working with internal teams including Digital Marketing, Brand owners as well as with outside agencies.
  • Provide compelling sales stories, in cooperation with Group Sales Trade Marketing, for NPD’s under management so as to drive scale and wide acceptance of NPD’s at the local market level.
  • Gather, analyse and share relevant business, market, brand and product information which could lead to new business opportunities.

What Are We Looking For

  • MS Degree in business, marketing or related field
  • 5-7 years of brand and/or category marketing experience
  • Excellent command of English; both spoken and written
  • Experience within FMCG
  • Exposure to Brand / Category management at Group/Corporate level as well as local operating level
  • Strong project management skill which span different functions and geographies
  • Advanced knowledge of new product development including proven experience in consumer research (qualitative and quantitative methodologies)
  • Advanced knowledge of brand building fundamentals including positioning, communication hierarchies and go-to-market executions
  • Ability to analyse and interpret market data
  • Strong overall business acumen with ability to understand product PL and levers that influence profitability from the manufacturing and commercialization processes.
  • Manages Complexity: Clarifies objectives, identifies concerns, and makes decisions or recommendations even with limited information.
  • Flags commercial risks and opportunities, questions decisions respectfully, and ensures adoption of key global directions locally.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally, shares best practices, and raises leadership visibility by leading specific projects.
  • Cultivates Innovation, strategic Mindset and drives results
  • Manages workflow efficiently, prioritizes key projects, anticipates roadblocks, and integrates diverse inputs to make informed decisions
  • Effective and influential interpersonal communication and consultative skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility and willing to travel frequently or if circumstances so dictate.
