Your impact at MUFG

Commercial Support Office (CSO), located in the First Line of Defence, provides expertise and support to all front offices in MBE with regard to managing client financial crime integrity risk, AML, Sanctions, transaction and ETP monitoring as well as client data management and integrity. CSO closely cooperates with all MBE client facing units and Relationship Managers and thus is present in the two booking locations of MBE, Amsterdam and Düsseldorf.

The Working Student will be part of the DI Team within CSO and will be supporting all aspects of maintaining, improving and where is needed remediating the client data.

DI Working Student assists DI team with inputting, profiling, reviewing, analysing and managing the client data in different IT Systems. The candidate will collaborate with the other sections of CSO (KYC, AML Sanctions, FI and QA) and other teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of client data and files.

The DI working student in CSO DI team will be supporting all aspects of client data management and integrity in BAU, reporting and DGS.

The role includes the following:

  • CIF (customer information file) changes
  • Customer account changes
  • Signature card handling
  • Identify missing or incomplete customer data in the DCT tool and notify the relevant teams
  • Perform inter system reconciliations and data remediation exercises
  • Communicate effectively and develop good relationships with users across the organization
  • Address the root cause of data inconsistencies and recommending improvements
  • Maintain process, progress and action plan trackers
  • Updates in core banking system OVS

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:

  • Be a full time student with interest in or affinity with banking/finance or other related field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English are required
  • Good understanding of MS Excel is required; experience of working with Power Query would be a plus
  • Ability to analyse information and present in a clear way
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Prior experience in AML/KYC matters would be a plus
  • Strong research and analytical skills would be a plus
  • Team player: independent and self-motivated, with an ability to adapt and (to) be flexible in a team environment
  • High motivation to learn
