The role:

Recharge is looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about people and technology, with a strong focus on empowering teams to thrive and deliver impact. This person will play a key role in shaping and scaling new platforms, driving technical excellence while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. We’re seeking a leader who is motivated by building high-performing teams, guiding engineers in their growth, and partnering across the business to create innovative solutions that will drive Recharge’s future growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage data, mobile and engineering teams, ensuring efficient team operations and project delivery. This includes recruiting, hiring, mentoring and providing career development opportunities for team members.
• Help the team with prioritisation. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the team adopts best practices in software engineering.
• Oversee project timelines and deliverables. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently and projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Work closely with other departments to improve cross-functional workflows and communication.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation, including providing regular updates on team progress, project challenges, and technological advancements.
• Oversee the utilisation of modern platforms and technologies, ensuring they are leveraged effectively to maximise the value the engineering teams deliver.

Our Tech Stack:
AWS, NestJS, Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Typescript, Gitlab, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DBT, Playwright, Postman, Jest, etc.

Who We're Looking For:

• Hands-on experience with our tech stack in live production environments.
• Proven track record in delivering impactful, large-scale web experiences.
• Experienced in guiding and supporting teams of skilled software engineers.
• Strong people management, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicator, able to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative and empowering, ready to embrace challenges and contribute to strategic decisions.
