ALTEN is supporting a leading industrial player in strengthening its HSE teams. We’re looking for engineers with a strong electrical background and a solid grasp of HSE standards to join a major project near Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international safety and environmental standards and for supporting design teams by reading, interpreting, and explaining electrical schematics.

• Interpret and apply HSE-related standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, for example
• Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, and CE HSE regulations
• Support project teams with risk assessments, documentation, and safety evaluations
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers to integrate compliance requirements
• Read and explain electrical schematics for design validation and documentation
• Maintain up-to-date records of regulatory and compliance efforts

About the Role

• Proficient in English (Dutch not required)
• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HSE, QHSE, or compliance engineering

Qualifications

• Ability to read/explain electrical schematics
• Familiarity with relevant HSE standards and regulations (such as: ISO 45001, ISO 14001, RoHS, REACH, CE)
• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and risk management mindset
