Join Our Finance Team as Team Lead NL/BE – Lead Financial Accountant (Record to Report)

About this role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Team Lead NL/BE – Lead Financial Accountant (Record to Report) to join our Finance team, based in Amsterdam. This key leadership role supports our Netherlands and Belgium entities and plays a vital part in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting.

You’ll join a collaborative, customer-focused team that lives our values of Lead, Deliver, Care. With a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement, you'll help drive process excellence while supporting our global finance transformation.

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Amsterdam office & 2 days working from home. Reporting to: R2R Supervisor

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Lead and oversee accurate and timely month-end and year-end close for NL and BE, including financial statements and reconciliations.
• Supervise and develop a cross-country accounting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, and support internal and external audits with high-quality documentation and insights.
• Manage intercompany accounting, payroll accounting, and consolidations, working closely with key stakeholders.
• Deliver insightful variance analysis and recommendations to drive informed financial decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging automation and tools like Google Suite and Power BI/Looker.
• Partner with Finance, Payroll, and Tax teams to meet statutory and management reporting obligations and support business goals.

What will you bring to the team?

• Fully qualified accountant or actively working toward a recognised qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP, with the ability to apply complex standards to real-world scenarios.
• Proven experience leading core accounting processes, including close cycles, reconciliations, and intercompany activities.
• Skilled in ERP systems and financial tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI), with a data-driven approach.
• Collaborative communicator who builds strong relationships across teams and presents insights clearly to stakeholders.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and driving excellence.
• Able to prioritise effectively, stay resilient in a fast-paced environment, and remain committed to shared team goals.
