Join Our Sales Team as a Business Development Lead

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to join our Sales Team 🎉 Alongside owning your own outbound outreach and pipeline, you’ll also take on a coaching role within the team - helping others improve their performance while still being hands-on yourself. You’ll be joining a fun, diverse, and driven team that collaborates closely, celebrates wins together, and always looks for ways to support each other 🌱

What will you do as Business Development Lead?

As Business Development Lead, you’ll focus on the first stage of the sales cycle - identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads across Europe 🗺️ You'll build a strong pipeline through cold outreach, email campaigns, events, and inbound lead follow-up, booking high-quality demos for the Account Executives.

But that’s only part of the job.

You’ll also support and guide a growing team of BDRs, helping them improve their outreach strategies and conversion rates. You’ll bring structure, energy, and insight to team activities, while continuing to stay hands-on with your own accounts. This is a great stepping stone into sales leadership 🪜

What makes you the ideal Business Development Lead?

  • 2+ year experience in sales, preferably in SaaS or a similar outbound-driven environment,
  • Comfortable taking ownership of outreach while supporting others in their development,
  • Good communication skills in English and Dutch,
  • Resilient and resourceful - able to keep going through the ‘no’s to find the ‘yes’,
  • Currently living within commuting distance of Leiden.

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • German language skills,
  • E-commerce experience (particularly within the fashion vertical).

Why you’ll love working here

  • You’ll receive a thorough onboarding to get you familiar with ChannelEngine, our processes and tools, and your new colleagues. You’ll also have a buddy to support you along the way
  • You’ll be working in an open and collaborative company with +/-200 colleagues of over 40 different nationalities 🌎
  • We offer a professional, yet informal work environment, where it’s easy for you to try new things, share your ideas, and make an impact
  • We have a continuous feedback culture to help you track your progress and facilitate your professional development 🎯
  • We make sure you have a comfortable and ergonomic work set-up, both at home and at the office, plus all of the tools (and swag 👕) you need to do your job well
  • We offer an annual on-target bonus, paid in monthly installments 💰
