Are you a curious, driven student eager to gain hands-on experience in a purpose-led company? Danone is looking for a motivated intern to join our team in Process Technology at our Global Research & Innovation Center in Utrecht.

It is Danone’s ambition to lower the carbon food print of the company. A major part of the greenhouse gas emissions come from dairy ingredients. Typical products with plant-based ingredients do not provide the right quality to match that of dairy ingredients, affecting public acceptance. It will be your role to support the development of plant-based powder products and optimize the quality of those powders.

What you will do:

• Testing of plant-based ingredients in specific Danone applications.
• Test suitability of plant protein sources for specific applications using different physico-chemical and physical methods.
• Reporting of results.
• Presenting results in project meetings and a final presentation.

About you

As a Process Technology intern, passion for food science, engineering, and sustainability will be second nature to you. You can proactively collaborate with others and have a strong eagerness to learn. On top of that? You’re a curious and driven individual who’s always looking for opportunities to grow and develop.

Key requirements:

• Enrolled as a Bachelor's or Master's student for the entire duration of the internship.
• Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
• For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
• Available to start in September 2025 for a minimum of 5-6 months, 5 days per week.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Able to work from our Utrecht office.
