Your new work environment

As Senior IT Specialist, you will be joining our Global Internal Audit team department.

In the Finance department, our goal is rather straightforward: we take care of the finances for the organization and our entire family of 17 global brands. The department spans four sub-departments: Tax and Accounting; Business Planning and Performance; Investor Relations; and Treasury and Insurance. The impact on the organization is tangible: we provide insights that enable our colleagues to offer the right guidance and targets for the business, and drive innovation and change in different domains of the company. All our Finance teams are filled with smart, high-performing finance professionals who enjoy pioneering and taking ownership of their work.

Key responsibilities of your role

In your role as Senior IT Auditor (Manager I) at Ahold Delhaize Group, you’ll have a unique opportunity to explore and understand diverse areas of our company. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team with varied backgrounds (audit and non-audit), taking on leadership roles in complex IT audits and participating in operational audits.

Examples of Your Work:

• Cyber Security: Assess the robustness of our cyber defenses, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring our systems are protected against threats.
• Mechanized Warehouses: Evaluate the efficiency and security of our automated warehouse systems, ensuring they operate seamlessly and securely.
• HR Systems: Audit our human resources systems to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulations.
• Consumer-Facing Applications: Review the security and functionality of applications used by millions of customers, ensuring a safe and smooth user experience.

Your common purpose will be to drive meaningful change within the organization. You’ll focus on auditing our custom IT systems, analyzing and assessing risk management within our brands, and collaborating with management to define next steps. Each audit is unique, covering different topics across European brands and global support functions.

Additionally, you’ll coordinate activities within the global audit team, training and coaching audit staff. You’ll also proactively build and maintain internal and external relationships at the management level to identify risks.

Ahold Delhaize Internal Audit

At Ahold Delhaize, our Internal Audit team is strategically focused and future-oriented. You’ll investigate various business processes (marketing, commerce, logistics, real estate, supply chain, IT) to ensure they align with our strategic objectives. You’ll also provide assurance over digital, data, and technology initiatives to enhance our customer journey and proposition.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll audit from a business perspective, offering objective assessments and tailor-made recommendations for improvement. We’re looking for a highly motivated candidate with retail experience, strong analytical skills, and a pragmatic approach.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in computer science or information systems
• A CISSP and Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) and/or Microsoft Azure Cyber security Architect Expert (SC-100) certification
• A OSCP or CPENT certification is an advantage
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of IT internal audit experience in a multinational retail or manufacturing company, or a large IT consulting firm
• The ability to communicate fluent in English (and preferably one of the following: French, Dutch, Greek, Serbian, Czech or Romanian) and the willingness to travel, including international travel (up to 20% of the time)
