As a Data Engineer within our Data Office, you will be at the heart of this transformation, collaborating with P&C pricing actuaries, product teams, and transversal functions to ensure seamless and consistent pricing data delivery across the organization. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving the efficiency and sophistication of our enterprise-level Datawarehouse, positioning Allianz Benelux as a leader in data-driven insurance solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Owning the technical delivery and maintenance of the Pricing data store, directly working with the head of P&C Pricing, pricing actuaries, and the Allianz Group Pricing function.
• Assembling large, complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Creating and maintaining optimal data pipelines utilizing a modern data toolstack built using DBT and Snowflake.
• Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for enhanced scalability.
• Playing a key role in activities related to data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data security.

Who are we looking for?

• Experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who excels in developing and optimizing data systems, particularly for Pricing actuary data and regulatory processes.
• Ability to own and enhance the Pricing Data Store and enable its consumption as a single point of contact.
• 5+ years of experience in building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines using the modern data stack.
• Expertise in working with enterprise-grade Datawarehouse platforms like Snowflake.
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT modeling and automation tools such as DBT, SQLDbM, etc.
• Development experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT-cloud.
• Proficiency in modern cloud platforms and data capabilities in Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
• Experience in deploying and configuring CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
• Fulltime availability
• Familiarity with data governance tools is a plus.
