The Opportunity

Are you passionate about shaping digital commerce experiences that drive engagement and conversion? As the Merchandising Manager reporting to the Head of DTC, Europe, you’ll lead the end-to-end merchandising strategy for a dynamic Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) platform. Based in Amsterdam or London, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising the digital customer journey, enhancing product presentation, and driving commercial performance through data-led insights. What You’ll Do

  • Digital Merchandising Strategy – Own and execute the end-to-end merchandising strategy for the DTC platform, ensuring timely product presentation and optimising site layout and checkout processes to maximise sales, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • UX & Customer Journey Optimisation – Collaborate with UX/UI teams to analyse and enhance the end-to-end digital shopping experience—optimising site navigation, layout, and functionality across all touchpoints to drive engagement, reduce friction, and improve conversion.
  • Product Presentation & PDP optimisation – Ensure all products are presented with high-quality visuals, SEO-optimised copy, and engaging content, while continuously enhancing Product Detail Pages (PDPs) using data-driven insights to boost user engagement and drive conversion.
  • Onsite Search & Navigation – Manage and continuously improve onsite search, filtering, and category structure to support product discovery and enhance the user journey.
  • SEO integration – Partner with SEO specialists to ensure product and category pages are fully optimised for organic visibility—focusing on metadata, internal linking, keyword-rich content, and crawlability.
  • Data-Driven Merchandising & Performance Optimisation – Utilise trading data, customer insights, and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, heatmaps, sales reports) to evaluate product performance, optimise product placement and promotional strategies, and track key merchandising KPIs—delivering actionable insights that drive commercial outcomes and support business objectives.
  • Content & Campaign Execution – Lead the execution of integrated content and marketing campaigns in collaboration with global and local teams, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and market-specific needs.
  • New Site Development & Launch – Oversee the development and successful launch of new websites, ensuring timely delivery and optimal user experience through cross-functional coordination.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams – Partner with Senior Merchandising Managers, Trade Executives, and local teams to ensure merchandising efforts align with overall business goals and meet customer needs.

The Skills You Will Bring to the Team

  • 6+ years in digital merchandising within an eCommerce (DTC) or multichannel retail environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience of UX design and principles and their impact on online merchandising and conversion optimisation.
  • Proven experience with SEO best practices for eCommerce, including optimising product/category pages, blogs and site architecture.
  • Proficiency with eCommerce platforms (SAP Hyrbis, Shopify is a plus) and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Tableau for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention for design, detail, and UX, with an understanding how content and visuals influence engagement and sales.
  • Proactive and commercially driven, able to work efficiently in fast-paced settings with a positive attitude, and confident in using data to inform strategy and decision-marking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-centric, with a clear focus on understanding shopper needs and behaviours
  • A self-starter with growth mindset, highly motivated and action-oriented
