Shape the way Marketing at Philips leverages data for decision-making. As a (Analytics-) Data Engineer, you will work at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, building and maintaining data products that enable insights-driven actions. You’ll partner closely with analysts, product owners, and insights teams, taking full ownership of data products throughout their lifecycle – from design and development to deployment and user enablement.

Your role:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data products using MS Azure and Databricks (including Unity Catalog setup).
  • Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and insights teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of data quality, implementing and maintaining validation rules in collaboration with domain data experts.
  • Leverage APIs to connect data platforms, use AI models where applicable, and prototype emerging technology solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD workflows using GitHub tools to ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable data pipelines and products.
  • Actively participate in Scrum/agile ceremonies and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment.
  • Document data flows, processes, and solutions to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Support frontend data consumption, with knowledge of QlikSense or PowerBI being a plus, enabling analytics teams to easily access and visualize data.
  • Act as a core member of the team, engaging proactively with colleagues and fostering a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.

You’re the right fit if:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • You bring proven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in MS Azure and Databricks, including Unity Catalog setup.
  • You have experience working with Marketing-related datasets and understand the data needs of marketing and insights teams.
  • You’re highly skilled in Python and SQL (or comparable programming languages).
  • You have solid experience with CI/CD processes, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Scrum/agile ways of working.
  • You possess a strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in data analysis.
  • You have excellent communication skills and thrive in collaborative, team-oriented environments.
  • You’re comfortable gathering requirements and engaging frequently with business stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with QlikSense or PowerBI for data visualization and dashboarding.
  • Understanding of frontend data consumption and analytics user needs.
  • Experience in owning and maintaining data products end-to-end.
  • Previous exposure to working in global, hybrid teams.
