Logistics work along intern

Our logistics operation is undergoing a clear shift. Whereas we once primarily handled large-volume shipments, we are now processing a growing number of smaller, more frequent deliveries. This change is significantly increasing the workload within our inbound process.

To tackle this challenge effectively, several improvement ideas have already been developed. However, before we can implement them, we need a solid analysis to ensure they are both feasible and impactful.

What will you do as an intern?

As an intern, you will take a deep dive into our inbound process and help shape its future:

• Map the current inbound process in detail, identifying each step and its processing time.
• Analyse bottlenecks caused by the rise in small shipments.
• Develop a future-proof process design and, if possible, test or simulate it in practice.
• Compare the results: how much time is saved? Where do the biggest gains lie?
• Deliver a well-founded recommendation for actual implementation.

• How to conduct time measurements and work with key performance indicators
• How to analyse and compare as-is vs. to-be processes
• How to develop practical recommendations and collaborate with various departments

This is you:

• You are a student enrolled in a university of applied sciences (HBO) program in Industrial Engineering and Management;
• You take initiative and have a hands-on mentality;
• You live in or near Delfzijl/Groningen.

We offer you

• An internship compensation of €500 gross per month, this is an all-in compensation (based on a 40-hour workweek and HBO/WO level).
• Internship of 40 hours per week (fewer hours subject to consultation)
