As a Data Scientist in FEC Tech Sanctions, you will play a key role in developing innovative methods to mitigate sanctions risks and translating business requirements into model features.

Practical examples

  • Aid in the development of a statistical model that suppresses false positive sanctions alerts
  • Develop a model proposal that translates business requirements related to sanctions risk in a client network into actionable insights
  • Perform data analysis showing common sanctions circumvention patterns

You and your talent

  • Your background is in Artificial Intelligence, Econometrics or another related quantitative field.
  • You have experience in an analytical role or internship, applying quantitative methods to support decision making and driving measurable impact.
  • You have demonstrable affinity with Python. Experience with PySpark, SQL and Azure DevOps is a plus.
  • You are skilled in analyzing and visualizing data and master the related tools.
  • You enjoy working in a high-stakes environment, with both complex internal stakeholder fields as well as regulatory influences.
  • You are comfortable challenging the status quo continuously, identify problems and focus on delivering crafty solutions.
  • You demonstrate sound communication skills in translating complex technical insights into straightforward recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Overall command of English at C1 level or up is required. Dutch language skills are desirable.
  • You are currently residing in the Netherlands and possess the legal right to work here.
