Job Title: Data & Market Analysis Intern (Full-Time, Hybrid – Amsterdam Office 2 Days/Week)

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data & Market Analysis Intern to join our team full-time. This role involves analyzing customer purchase behavior, segmenting customer data, and supporting market research initiatives to inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of KNIME is appreciated but not required
  • Usage of Tableau is preferred but not mandatory

Profile:

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter and proactive, continuously seeking improvements in existing processes
  • Social and an effective communicator
  • Resilient and committed to going the extra mile to achieve results
  • Available to work full-time, with preferred presence in the Amsterdam office at least two days per week

Internship Requirements:

  • Enrolled at an educational institute (in business, data analysis, or a related field) for the entire duration of the internship
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the necessary documents related to the internship (e.g., Nuffic agreement)

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze purchase data from various customers to identify usage patterns and interests in journals not currently accessed
  • Develop customer segmentation lists to support targeted marketing initiatives
  • Extract usage data, generate actionable insights, and create clear visualizations for Sales teams and other stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to determine optimal pricing strategies for launching new journals
  • Update and standardize user databases to ensure data accuracy and consistency
