About the Position

The Salesforce Commerce Cloud Solutions Engineering team is a group of technology and business process experts that aid and assist direct sales to prospects, customers, and partners by creating, packaging, and demonstrating innovative solutions for a client’s needs.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a market leader in digital commerce, enabling businesses to deliver exceptional online shopping experiences. The role of the Solution Engineer is to work with the Account Executive in doing discovery, assess the solution fit and the commercial opportunity, build a solution and architecture vision, and provide proof in the form of presentations, demos, RFP responses, proof of concepts, and business cases. This includes presenting to various levels in the customer organization, such as specialist roles, digital and marketing managers, as well as Director and C-Level executives in General Management, Marketing, and IT.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of success – at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in B2B & B2C industries
  • Excellent presentation skills, comfortable presenting to a crowd of a thousand, a CMO, or two developers.
  • Familiar with running discovery workshops, proof of concepts, and applying design thinking techniques.
  • Able to switch quickly between different modes of thinking and tasks.
  • Self-starter that is highly creative and able to manage and prioritize effectively.
  • Able to work with the sales team to understand and present a business case to clients – articulating a technical solution, highlighting the business benefits to the customer in a language they understand.
  • Have deep technical expertise in any of the following domains (digital commerce, customer data platforms, advertising, commerce, BI & Analytics, Web analytics, CRM, CMS).
  • Knowledge of modern commerce and web technologies.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of database design and proficiency in database queries.
  • BA/BS preferred or equivalent work experience with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch preferred). Right to work in the Netherlands.

It would be great if…

  • You have prior digital commerce experience.
  • You have worked for a SaaS computing company.
  • You have presented and sold to ecommerce companies before.
