You and your job

As a Senior Data Analyst in the Global Sanction FEC Tech – Global Name Screening team, you will focus on the development and implementation of a global Cloud based solution. Your job is to ensure that the IT systems and models are being built and tested in line with the IT- and Model Risk requirements. You ensure that new epics and features are developed in line with your view and vision and existing features are continuously monitored to ensure they operate within the system parameters. You drive the delivery of your own features end-to-end and report to the product owner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and document clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria from global stakeholders using workshops, interviews, and demos and diversify them into nice to have and must haves.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and mapping to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for data quality enhancement.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and platforms to extract insights and create compelling data visualizations.
  • Design and implement robust data validation frameworks and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines capable of processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data efficiently.
  • Apply strong programming skills in SQL and Python to manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex datasets.
  • Refine user stories aligned with the Product Owner’s objectives and squad goals.
  • Deliver in short, iterative cycles and actively seek feedback to improve outcomes quickly.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering consistent, reliable outcomes and maintaining a positive, no-surprise approach.
  • Provide and seek constructive feedback in a collaborative environment.

You and your talent

  • Educational background: Academic working and intellectual level.
  • Work experience: At least 3 years of experience in a data analyst / data scientist/ business analyst role, preferably in the financial sector and on Compliance topics.
  • Compliance knowledge is a plus: Familiarity with AML, KYC, OFAC, or EU Sanctions
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean, DevOps, and SAFe methodologies.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative analysis into comprehensive information for higher management and business users.
  • Excellent documentation and functional writing skills: you are able to document your approach, test results and conclusions with substantiating arguments and evidence so it can withstand compliance, audit or other 3rd party scrutiny.
  • You have a helicopter view, overseeing a wide domain and understanding the impact of design decisions. At the same time, you’re not afraid to get hands-on with the details.
  • You are a self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership. You have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
