You and your job

Imagine… you, as a Senior Tech Manager, are at the heart of the bank, serving 9 million customers—2 to 3 million daily—by providing high-quality services with the availability you expect as a customer: always on, and cost-efficient. As part of the Digital Platform/Foundation, you own the internal development platform, which provides 200+ teams with key platform services to build and improve all digital propositions of the bank.

These key platform services—such as the design system and the frontend and backend development ecosystem—ensure:

  • High technical quality: 24/7 availability, top-tier cybersecurity, high performance, and code quality

Top responsibilities

  • Tech Delivery representative in steering triangle at area level with Area Lead and Business Architect
  • Responsible for aspects stability and security (compliance with S@S Governance) in high availability environment
  • Responsible for development teams with > 125 FTE (Netherlands, Lisboa, India) and > budget of 15 million;
  • Responsible for the strategic vision and roadmap of the Digital Platform;
  • Stimulating innovation to enable new business models by introducing new technological possibilities;
  • Hiring, developing and retaining top talent in an overheated IT market;
  • 200+ DevOps teams rely on the services of the department. Also: there is a huge upswing: if DP Foundation performs well and standardizes services and also makes them available via self-service, this has a huge positive effect on both the speed of development, deployment and also on reducing costs.

You and your talent

  • WO-level thinking (and education)
  • 10+ years of experience in complex IT environments
  • Broad experience across IT components, preferably in software development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with organizational and restructuring challenges
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Strong organizational awareness and enterprise navigation skills
  • Proven experience in change management (stakeholder engagement, culture, and content focus)
  • Organizational sensitivity: able to quickly gain deep insight into complex, politically sensitive issues with group-wide impact
  • Agile leadership: you understand agility from a management perspective
