The first baby food in Nunspeet was produced in 1974 and the location has gradually been transformed into a modern factory that specializes in producing high-quality baby food. Our products are exported worldwide to approximately 140 markets with a total of 500 unique product/country combinations. The most important brands are NAN, Nidina, AL110, Alfaré and Althéra. Our factory is fully focused on the production of baby powder.

As of September 2025, we have room for a Maintenance Engineer Intern. As a Maintenance Engineer intern, you will get the opportunity to work on one or more industry-relevant projects in the area of Asset Management.

As a Maintenance Engineer intern, you have the following responsibilities:

• Developing maintenance strategies based on operational requirements and identifying maintenance needs;
• Review and update the maintenance plans for the Fill & Pack lines, ensuring availability of the correct information to effectively carry-out maintenance activities;
• Gain knowledge and understanding of Breakdown Analysis tools (BDA), also known as root-cause analysis, and define a standardized BDA process;
• Identify maintenance trends, risks and improvement proposals to support the Maintenance F&P Team;
• Support with production line improvements to reduce downtime and recurrent losses;
• Work on mapping for the implementation of relevant predictive maintenance technologies (i.e. sensors, reporting dashboards) to improve the reliability of the production line.

You will take on the challenge at Nestlé Nunspeet:

You will be part of the Fill & Pack maintenance team. The Fill & Pack maintenance team is responsible for keeping the machines in optimal condition and for ensuring that maintenance work is carried out as efficiently as possible to keep production running.

Our team consists of six shift mechanics, four day mechanics, two 1st mechanics, a maintenance engineer, a planner and a team leader.

An internship at Nestle lasts at least 5 months and starts in August or September 2025. At Nestle we often have a work placement. The possibility for a graduation assignment can be further explored in consultation with the Maintenance Team Leader.

In addition to hard work and a lot of learning, the social side of an internship should of course not be missing! Due to the open and informal atmosphere at the office, there is always room for fun or a coffee break. In addition, we are setting up a close-knit intern community at Nestlé. For example, intern events will be organized in the future, such as a Q&A with the CEO, a pub quiz, escape room, drinks and more!

• You are registered for the HBO/WO education;
• You want to apply the knowledge you learned at school in practice;
• You possess strong technical foundations and an understanding of Engineering fundamentals (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics);
• You are solution-oriented and have good problem-solving skills;
• You have an analytical mind and an affinity for data, trends and reporting;
• You possess a strong sense of initiative and are self-driven;
• You have good communication skills (preferably in both English and Dutch) and can work well as part of a team.
