Description of assignment

Would you like to work on new innovative AI software that will be used at airports all around the world? Would you like to shape the future together with smart, talented colleagues in a nice working environment? Then this might be the assignment you are looking for.

Goal of this assignment is to design and implement a User Interface for the BagClassifier. The BagClassifier is a module that measures and classifies bags that are transported by Vanderlande’s conveying systems, to optimize the baggage logistic process. In the BagClassifier images of bags are captured by high-end cameras and are processed by Machine Learning AI software to measure the bag and to determine the bag type.

The purpose of the GUI is to show real-time measurement results and to make it easy for users to calibrate and diagnose the system.

Department description

In the Technology department (R&D), no two days are the same. Our activities are based all over the world and each project is different. These projects improve the business of our external customers within the Airports, Warehousing, and Parcel business. The Technology department is committed to enhancing Vanderlande’s competitive position through state-of-the-art solutions.
In this project you will be collaborate with an R&D team that designs, implements and tests the new BagClassifier module.

Tasks/responsibilities

• Gather requirements from relevant stakeholders
• Design of a Graphical User Interface, together with a UX designer
• Frontend development of a web interface using Angular
• Integration with C++ backend
• Creating documentation
• Testing

Your profile

• You have experience with Front-end development, preferably using Angular
• You have good knowledge of HTML & CSS
• You have experience with API (backend) integration, for example using REST or WebSockets
• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English
• Experience with Linux and Docker is preferred
• *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
