Goal of this assignment is to design and implement a User Interface for the BagClassifier. The BagClassifier is a module that measures and classifies bags that are transported by Vanderlande’s conveying systems, to optimize the baggage logistic process. In the BagClassifier images of bags are captured by high-end cameras and are processed by Machine Learning AI software to measure the bag and to determine the bag type.
The purpose of the GUI is to show real-time measurement results and to make it easy for users to calibrate and diagnose the system.
In the Technology department (R&D), no two days are the same. Our activities are based all over the world and each project is different. These projects improve the business of our external customers within the Airports, Warehousing, and Parcel business. The Technology department is committed to enhancing Vanderlande’s competitive position through state-of-the-art solutions.
In this project you will be collaborate with an R&D team that designs, implements and tests the new BagClassifier module.
Vanderlande is the global market leader for value-added logistic process automation at airports, and in the parcel market. Vanderlande’s baggage handling systems move 4.2 billion pieces of luggage around the world per year. Its systems are active in 600 airports including 14 of the world’s top 20.
