About the Team

The Controlling department of MediaMarkt Benelux consists of four teams: Financial Controlling, Commercial Controlling, Operational Controlling, and Procurement Controlling. The Financial Controlling team provides insights into the financial performance of all departments in the Benelux region and controls the planning and control cycle for this region.

Your Role

As an experienced and hands-on Manager Commercial Controlling, you will ensure there is insight into the commercial performance and position of MediaMarkt Benelux. You will monitor and analyze short and long-term developments regarding the position and objectives of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the month-end close cycle by analyzing and reporting on the monthly results.
• Lead a small team of 3-4 Commercial Controlling Specialists and ensure your team performs at their best.
• Ensure a strong administrative organization and internal control around daily, weekly, and monthly processes within the Commercial department.
• Manage the monthly forecast process regarding any financial changes that affect current and future results.
• Comply with various reports from the head office in Germany.
• Analyze results and discuss findings with the Head of Controlling and senior leadership.
• Participate in ad-hoc and process optimization projects.

Your Profile

• Analytically excellent professional with a strong sense of ownership.
• Comfortable working with large models and data sets; proficient in Excel.
• Background in retail, wholesale, or logistics is a plus.
• Strong vision in your field, open to new ideas and insights.
• Advisory stakeholder manager, able to handle deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable in a large, dynamic organization.
• Accurate, entrepreneurial, and excellent command of English (verbal and written).
• Completed master or bachelor degree.
• At least 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience, including leading a small team of commercial controllers.
• RC, RA, CMA, CIMA, CFA accreditations are welcome.
• Demonstrated talent and ambition in your career.
• Self-starter, organizationally strong, and a top analyst.
• Mature interlocutor at all organizational levels.
