Environment Health & Safety at Danone

Are you an experienced HSE professional with a background in safety standards, incident prevention, and employee engagement? We have an exciting opportunity as an HSE Officer at our Specialized Nutrition factory in Zoetermeer.

Our team's mission is to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure a safe working environment for over 500 Danoners producing specialized medical nutrition for vulnerable groups in more than 55 countries. Key deliverables and priorities include:

• Driving safety awareness and 12BS standards across assigned departments.
• Supporting incident investigations, safety analytics, and corrective actions.
• Leading daily safety observations and DDS health checks.
• Organizing internal audits, HSE meetings, and awareness campaigns.
• Contributing to engineering projects and site-wide safety initiatives.

In your role as HSE Officer, being part of the HSE team, your key responsibilities are:

• Facilitate safety culture development and implement tools and standards.
• Conduct incident investigations and monitor training and compliance data.
• Perform daily safety tours and ensure quality of safety communication.
• Lead selected 12BS standards and WISE culture elements across the site.
• Support internal audits, HSE meetings, and engineering project safety reviews.

About you

For this challenging position, we are looking for someone who is able to provide structure and lead an improvement agenda. You fit this role if you are/have:

• Education related to safety and/or engineering;
• Prior working experience in a production environment;
• Safety is a passion for you!
• Motivated, driven, solution-oriented and a team player;
• Persevere until you have achieved the desired result and always strive for a “win-win” situation;
• People-minded person, who has a hands-on approach;
• Smooth communication skills and are not afraid to speak in front of a group;
• Fluent in English, Dutch would be a plus;
• Knowledge of the MS Office package.
