SAP Advisory - S/4 HANA Technology Advisor at Accenture

The work

Accenture is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technology Advisor to support clients in designing and implementing modern, efficient SAP landscapes. In this role, you will help define architecture and deployment strategies for greenfield, brownfield, and hybrid scenarios, using solutions such as RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, and integration tools. Your focus will be on aligning technical decisions with business needs to ensure scalable, maintainable, and value-driven outcomes.

You will be responsible for developing SAP technology roadmaps, supporting deployment and governance frameworks, and integrating tools like SAP Cloud ALM, embedded analytics, and hyperscaler platforms. Working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure solutions are well-structured, practical, and built to support long-term business goals.

Responsibilities Architecture & Strategy:

  • Partner with IT directors, enterprise architects, solution architects, operations managers, and other stakeholders to align S/4HANA solutions with overall strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with functional consultants (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc.) and subject matter experts to ensure the technical stack is designed to deliver robust process coverage.
  • Advocate SAP cloud solutions as SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite (SAP IS) to ensure agility, extensibility, and alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct technical assessments (landscape audits, performance checks) to define optimal S/4HANA deployment patterns—on-premise, public cloud, or private cloud.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks that integrate SAP S/4HANA with SAP BTP services, middleware, and selective data transition scenarios.
  • Evaluate selective data migration approaches (greenfield/brownfield hybrids) when they offer strategic benefits—minimizing risk while delivering rapid value.
  • Design future-ready SAP S/4HANA landscapes, incorporating SAP BTP services and SAP IS to expand capabilities without heavy customization.
  • Recommend accelerators, guidelines and best practices to harmonize on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud components.
  • Coach teams on optimizing performance, managing risks, and future-proofing landscapes for SAP solutions.

Responsibilities Solution Delivery & Operations:

  • Oversee solution designs aligned with SAP methodologies (e.g., Activate), ensuring alignment with best practices for security, compliance, and performance.
  • Implement operational excellence processes via SAP Cloud ALM, coordinating release management, testing, and real-time project tracking.
  • Share expertise on SAP architecture patterns and best practices for integration (SAP IS or other iPaaS solutions).
  • Translate technical possibilities (e.g., embedded analytics, AI/ML expansions) into tangible business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advise on middleware and hyperscaler solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) for advanced scalability and flexibility.
  • Leverage hyperscaler-native tools (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Interconnect) to optimize network connectivity and cost efficiency.
  • Champion cloud-native integration solutions for seamless communication across SAP and non-SAP systems.

Qualification

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or bachelor degree and strong relevant experience.
  • 2 - 10+ years of hands-on experience with S/4HANA (technical design, architecture, or implementation), including familiarity with RISE or GROW with SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services and middleware solutions (e.g., SAP CPI, SAP IS, MuleSoft, Boomi).
  • Demonstrated ability to architect scalable solutions involving hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Analytical aptitude for evaluating greenfield, brownfield, or hybrid deployments, with a focus on selective data migration strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence both IT and non-IT stakeholders, bridging the gap between business goals and technology possibilities.
  • Familiarity with SAP methodologies (Activate, Agile, DevOps) to streamline project delivery and governance.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, often spanning different geographies and time zones.
  • Demonstrated skill in interpreting business requirements and integrating them into cohesive, future-ready SAP solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Bonus points if you have

  • SAP Certifications (S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or SAP Integration Suite).
  • Experience implementing Cloud ALM for project oversight, test automation, or release coordination.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML or Process Automation solutions that layer onto S/4HANA environments.
  • Prior success guiding multi-geography teams through complex SAP transformations.
