By developing international e-commerce ecosystems that strategically strengthen our assortment and grant 13.7 million customers access to the best products worldwide, you play a key role in selecting and onboarding international accounts that reinforce our market position. With approximately 47,000 partner sellers offering 41 million items, your unique take on international markets and your innate persistence and talent for convincing prospects help keep bol the most beloved platform for customers and partners alike.

The biggest challenge

Continuing the roll-out of our international partner strategy in a challenging, fiercely competitive, and extremely culturally diverse market. As a senior professional, you don’t just initiate partnerships—you also develop and promote (innovative) commercial processes and strategies that empower the team to maximize its impact. How do you ensure international expansion contributes to our long-term goals? How do you, along with other seniors, develop junior colleagues while onboarding international partners and then hand them off to our account managers? The key is a mix of strategic vision, a drive to cultivate excellence, and inspiring mentorship.

What you'll do as Senior International New Business Developer

As a senior on the International New Business Development team, part of International & Integrators, you and your fellow seniors constitute the engine that drives inspiring team growth. You identify interesting potential partners, immediately act on commercial team opportunities, and get stakeholders on board to maximize results. With your extensive (international) experience and valuable network, you establish high-value partnerships with impactful international sellers that offer a high-quality assortment at competitive pricing levels.

You guide junior team members on their path to success and share your expertise to make the entire team a little better every day. By taking on department-wide projects, you help improve processes and develop best practices that raise everyone’s performance. You also work intensively with senior stakeholders to align international initiatives with our overarching strategy.

You ensure international parties start selling on bol enthusiastically by applying consultative selling techniques, where you instinctively focus on the strategic perspective. You anticipate market trends and, together with market teams, identify opportunities before they become mainstream! This forges partnerships that are highly valuable from the start and, more importantly, form a solid foundation for the future growth and success of bol’s international partners.

  • Improve commercial processes and ways of working by sharing your vision, experiences, and best practices
  • Team up with senior stakeholders to refine our international strategy

  • Leverage your strong communication skills, persuasiveness, and persistence to maximize your impact

You combine 6+ years of relevant commercial experience with coaching skills and are at home in the world of (international) new business development. You have experience in an online environment, knowledge of European markets, and can manage complex commercial projects effectively.
