The energy transition needs you as Energy System Architect

As Energy System Architect, you translate business needs into robust energy system architecture. You guide Business/IT transitions, ensuring design consistency across business, information, applications, and technology. You create support for designs, improve overall architecture, and set development guidelines. Your work facilitates a future-proof, internationally viable energy infrastructure for the evolving energy sector. We are creating the energy grid of the future, for everyone, with everyone. And as Energy System Architect, you can play your part in this. Your role involves:

• Designing and improving the overall energy system architecture.
• Ensuring consistency between business requirements, information, applications, and technology.
• Creating support and aligning stakeholders for new and existing architectural designs.
• Assessing and mitigating cyber and business security risks within designs.
• Modelling architecture and processes using standards like Archimate and BPMN.

You will be working at our Alliander business unit System Operations. Here you will share responsibility for managing and maintaining energy networks, like the electricity and gas grids. This is how we deliver energy to households, businesses and other clients.

The team focuses on creating a flexible software landscape for national and international use. Your work involves design, architecture, and stakeholder alignment for new energy system solutions.

• Expertise in an architecture domain, e.g., information architecture.
• Skill in identifying and mitigating cyber and business security risks in designs.
• Proficiency in architecture and process modelling (Archimate, BPMN).
• Knowledge of modern software architecture (cloud-based, microservices, integration patterns).
• Senior and proven experience in realizing cross-chain architecture and software delivery.

Attractive salary and benefits package

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

• a gross monthly salary of € 6.066 to € 10.485 (scale 11-12)
• annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off, for example. You choose the option that is right for you.
• 24.5 days’ holiday per year, which can be topped up generously from your IKB. It is also possible to swap 1 or 2 official public holidays under the collective labour agreement for public holidays of another culture or religion.
• an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.
• a sustainable employability (SE) budget of €500 per year. Choose a payment for a sport or hobby, to make your home more sustainable or to reduce your student loan debt with DUO, for example. You decide how your budget is spent.
• a pension with ABP, especially for the government and education sector. We will pay a 70% share of your pension contribution.
