For the Risk Control, Quality Assurance and Training team, we are looking for a professional who, as

Quality Assurance Officer (32 - 40 hours per week)

helps improve the quality of the processes and customer files focused on CDD, Sanctions, Customer Activity Monitoring and Fraud.

You will help us 'change finance to change finance', by developing, improving, implementing and executing our KYC & Financial Crime QA Framework. For the team, we are looking for someone who can perform the work for our office in Belgium, among others.

In this role you will:

  • Autonomously perform quality assurance activities related to all financial crime processes, with an emphasis on CDD, Sanctions, Customer Activity Monitoring and Fraud, with a focus primarily on the Belgian industry
  • Identify and report instances of non-compliance with KYC and alerts policies and procedures and escalate issues as necessary
  • Ensure findings are communicated to colleagues in a supportive manner, taking into account development needs, as necessary
  • Contribute to proposals for improvements to existing processes and policies to ensure Triodos Bank continues to meet regulatory requirements, and where necessary identify gaps in non-compliance
  • Perform delegated activities to support the identification and evaluation of risks, issues, dependencies and the design of solutions to mitigate them
  • Support the Team Leader in collecting, preparing, analysing and finalising reports for submission to relevant risk forums and committees with a focus on topics of specific relevance to the Belgian sector

Profiel

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Law, Criminology, Business Economics or equivalent experience
  • Relevant subject matter expertise in KYC and financial crime, where you have experience coordinating deliverables
  • Experience in providing training, coaching and feedback with a track record of improving quality standards within an operational environment
  • Proficient in the collection and use of management information data
  • ACAMS (or equivalent) qualification in financial crime or the willingness to complete this within the first 12 months of your role
  • A passion for crime fighting and a strong customer focus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • In addition to Dutch, fluent French speaking and writing is also desirable
  • Excellent command of English
  • Demonstrable affinity with Triodos Bank's mission and values
