IT infrastructure Officer

We are looking for an all-round medior system administrator who is able to manage a secure defence IT infrastructure in accordance with the ABDO requirements and standards of the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

As an infrastructure officer, you are responsible for implementing, installing, documentating, and maintenance of our defence IT infrastructure. This infrastructure is characterized by strict requirements imposed on the physical IT and information security of the network, workstations, servers, and data.

Scope / activities

• You are responsible for and contribute to the infrastructure in accordance with strict security guidelines based on ABDO framework.
• You ensure that the correct logging and reports are delivered on a weekly basis and report incidents without delay to the security officer.
• You ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable security standards.
• You are responsible for the backups of the information systems.
• You are the point of contact to solve 1st and 2nd line incidents and execute changes
• You think critically about the tasks- and results to be performed
• You will collaborate with the facilities department and the project teams

KPI’s

• Responsible for maintenance and delivery of IT infrastructure within the applicable security framework;
• You need to register all design- built and operational maintenance activities in logfiles and ticketing systems;
• As an all-round IT specialist, you are responsible for a stable and secure infrastructure;
• You are responsible for proactively reporting security deviations and incidents.

Job requirements

• You have an high school- or batchelor degree;
• You have experience with ITIL- and kanban and can apply this in practice;
• You are Microsoft certified and have at least 3-5 years of experience in maintaining servers, workstations, networks, and security techniques.
• You can advise and able to communicate on middle management level;
• You can handle strictly confidential within the project's framework.
• You agree to the additional confidentiality agreement and defense screening.
• You are analytically strong and able to handle resistance.
• You are able to work in an international setting and actively seeking for collaboration.
• You are result-oriented, and make an active contribution within this collaboration.
• You have strong communication skills and can express yourself- both in verbally and writing in Dutch and English.
• You have a Dutch nationality.
• You have a good sense of humor and enthusiasm.
