The Role

As a Junior Data Analyst in Sanctions Tech Model Development, you will play a vital role in a world-class Sanctions Organization, contributing to our Name Screening and Transaction Filtering models – key models that help safeguard our bank and society.

In this dynamic role, no two days will be the same. Your responsibilities will be diverse, ensuring each day brings new challenges and keeps you fully engaged! Some days, you will focus on designing and executing test protocols, along with analysing decision data to enhance model performance. On others, you will dive deep into the theoretical foundations of our models. You'll also play a key role in exploring AI-driven opportunities for compliance-driven models, as well as exploring innovative opportunities to automate workflows, helping to streamline our daily operations. Alongside your development in Sanctions Tech Model Development, you’ll continuously strengthen your ability to translate complex insights into actionable outcomes by collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

While these responsibilities are part of your role in the team, the real scope of your impact is defined by your ambition, your drive sets the limit!

You and Your Future

During our Early Career Program, you’ll develop your career over 18 months by becoming an expert in your field. Throughout the program, you’ll stay with one team and receive training to enhance your hard skills. You’ll be paired with a buddy who will guide you in navigating the bank. For your personal development, you and your fellow starters will follow the Early Career Program and receive guidance from a Data & Analytics Development Consultant. We’re here to prepare you for a sustainable career!

Practical Information

• Length: 18 months, after which you will continue working within your team
• Hours per week: 40. About 10-15% of your weekly working time is spent on personal development, training and other activities. The other hours are spent working within your team.
• Every Friday afternoon is Data & Analytics Early Career Program afternoon at the office!

Your Development as a Young Professional

Within this program, you will have the opportunity to get to know yourself, your trade, and Rabobank. You will start the program in a junior position within one team, participate in (online) workshops and training modules with other young professionals, and quickly gain practical experience.

Together with the Data & Analytics community there is room for creativity and initiative to organize events, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. This way, we continuously improve the program and ourselves! You will easily build a large and valuable network within the bank.

You and Your Talent

• Educational Background: You have obtained a Master's in (Quantitative) Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Informatics or a similar field.
• Work Experience: Approximately 0-2 years of work experience.
• Residency: Currently living in the Netherlands.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative analysis into comprehensive information for higher management and business users.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Python as well as (interest in learning) Databricks, PySpark, cloud technologies (e.g. Azure) and Git.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language.

This is What We Offer You

• Gross monthly salary between €3,314 and €4,733 (scale 07) for a 36 hour week
• A salary of €4,007.83 gross per month (scale 7, 40 hours a week)
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• 10% Employee Benefit Budget. Employees may use this budget at their own discretion, for example, the EBB can be used to buy extra vacation days or to make an additional deposit in your retirement fund. Employees can also opt to have the EBB paid out to them as part of their monthly salary.
• EUR 1,400 development budget per year
• Hybrid working: balance between home and office work (possible for most roles)
• A pension, for which you can set the maximum amount of your personal contribution
