Dit ga jij doen

Did you know that Tata Steel Building Systems has three innovative production locations in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland? That we produce advanced sandwich panels for the construction sector? And that we're now looking for a driven intern to help us conquer the market?

As a product-market intelligence intern, you'll work on a crucial assignment: mapping our position in the market relative to our competitors. You'll dive into the world of sandwich panels - prefabricated construction elements consisting of two metal outer layers with a PIR foam core in between for optimal insulation. Through your research, you'll help us make our products even better!

As an intern at Tata Steel ...

• You'll completely map out the market. You'll research what our competitors offer in terms of product dimensions, colors, materials, and performance characteristics such as fire resistance.
• You'll develop your own comparison model. With this, you'll make the differences between our products and those of the competition visible.
• You'll present your findings to key stakeholders. Based on your analysis, you'll make concrete recommendations for product improvements.
• You'll work in an international team. You'll be in contact with experts in the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland.
• You'll contribute to the future of sustainable construction. Your insights will help advance the construction sector!

Herken jij jezelf?

You are structured, analytical, and have strong communication skills. You can work well independently but also actively seek collaboration. With your curious mindset, you love diving into large amounts of data to extract valuable insights. Furthermore:

• You're pursuing an hbo or wo degree in the field of Industrial Engineering and Management
• You're available for at least 3 months.
• You're fluent in English, German language skills are a plus.

You'll become part of our central team for Innovation, Development, and Sustainability within Building Systems. This international team of seven people works from different locations. You'll be based in IJmuiden, but you'll also regularly visit our production facilities in IJsselstein and Geldermalsen. There you'll see with your own eyes how our advanced sandwich panels are made!

The coming years, Tata Steel is looking for interns and graduates who want to push boundaries. In(terns) for Steel is het netwerk voor stagiairs en afstudeerders met als doel stagiairs samenbrengen en ervoor zorgen jij als stagiair(e) het bedrijf goed leert kennen! Zij organiseren activiteiten zoals lunchen, workshops en excursies naar fabrieken.
