Your Role

As a Senior Back-End Engineer & Architect, you’ll take a dual role in both hands-on engineering and architectural leadership. You will be the technical sparring partner for both your team and internal stakeholders, designing solutions that are robust, scalable, and future-ready.

You’ll help shape our cloud-native infrastructure, introduce and improve design patterns, and set the tone for quality and engineering excellence. We want someone who’s not only experienced, but also committed to writing clean, maintainable code and continuously improving both systems and processes. In our team, quality and structure take precedence, we aim to build things properly from the start and are always looking for ways to refine and future-proof our solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive technical solutions forward;
• Design and evolve scalable back-end and cloud architectures;
• Guide the engineering team on implementation and code quality;
• Keep an eye on system performance, security, and privacy;
• Help improve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines;
• Stay ahead of new technologies and bring fresh ideas to the table.

• Salary range: €5.000 to €6.000, based on your experience;

Who You Are

• You have 6+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer;
• You have strong knowledge of modern web application development and cloud architectures;
• You’ve worked on larger projects and within cross-functional teams;
• You bring strong communication skills and are able to coach others while remaining operationally involved;
• You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring structure where needed;
• You have a BSc in Computer Science or a related field;
• You’re skilled in C#, ASP.NET Core, and familiar with AWS;
• You have experience with CI/CD pipelines. (e.g. GitHub Actions)

Practicalities

• Candidates must live in the Netherlands and hold a valid working permit;
• We do not provide visa sponsorship.
