Join the Global Operational Excellence Team within People Operations

As our new intern, you will join the Global Operational Excellence Team within People Operations. This team is part of People Operations, the department that supports employees throughout their time in the company—handling everything from hiring and onboarding to payroll, international travel, and more. Our work connects us with a wide range of colleagues—from HR advisors across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, to global teams like Payroll, Travel, and Mobility, and other partners in Technology, Learning & Development, IT, and more.

Your assignment

As a Knowledge Management Intern, you will contribute to high-impact initiatives that shape how information and collaboration unfold across People Operations. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll support strategic projects and operational activities that drive internal engagement and knowledge sharing. This internship offers a hands-on experience in a global, dynamic environment—where your contributions will create lasting value beyond your assignment. Key areas of responsibility as follows:

  • Support the evaluation of knowledge management practices post-2025: Identify gaps, successes, and opportunities.
  • Assist in shaping and organizing the 2026 knowledge improvement project portfolio: Help define initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Facilitate and help coordinate the Knowledge Community of Practice: Including content planning, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in the tracking, documentation, and reporting of projects: Support portfolio and project management activities.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews or surveys: Support knowledge efforts with insights and user-centric perspectives.
  • Help manage knowledge assets: Ensure accessibility, consistency, and reusability of documents, presentations, and templates.

This is a bachelor's (final year) or master's level internship starting in September, for minimum 6 months, for minimum 4 days per week.

Your profile

To be a good fit, you are: Enrolled in a relevant HBO (final year) or WO (Master’s level preferred) study program such as HR, psychology, organizational studies, business administration, knowledge management/information management or similar discipline. Additionally you have:

  • Strong proficiency in English, particularly in writing and speaking, with the ability to craft clear and engaging communications.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask across several assignments.
  • A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset—eager to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, international, and often virtual work environment.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.).

Additional nice-to-have:

  • Previous internship or work experience in a corporate environment, preferably in HR, knowledge management, or project-related roles.
  • Familiarity with internal communication platforms (e.g., Viva Engage), content creation tools, or knowledge-sharing systems.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or Customer Service Management (CSM) systems.
  • Interest or background in UX design, stakeholder engagement, or customer journey mapping.
  • Analytical mindset with basic skills in synthesizing information, preparing presentations, or writing short reports.
  • Experience facilitating or coordinating meetings, workshops, or events (even in a student or volunteer context).

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you’re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
