Would you like to be part of a global, diverse and motivated sales team to develop contacts with distributors and thus increase sales of our products? Are you a proactive person who has experience working with distributors, knows how to build relationships and thus increase company’s presence on the market? Do you have a strong background in Coating or related industry and you are open for frequent business travels around whole Benelux? Then you might be our new colleague at Hempel.

As the Key Account Manager you will be responsible for managing cooperation with distributors from the Benelux area in such a way as to positively influence and increase sales of our products. In this role you will also work internally with multiple departments such as: Sales Support Team, CSD, TSD, Supply chain, Finance Sales Front Office.

In this role you will need to:

  • Preparing Quotations.
  • Preparing Specifications/Quotations in IQS.
  • Preparing Specifications/Quotations for Intumescent projects.
  • Respond to customer inquiries both commercially and technically.
  • Maintaining customer data in CRM.
  • Managing customer pricelists
  • Supporting with communication.
  • Preparing & Registering Guarantees within the company standards & procedures.
  • Forming tight cooperation and reporting procedures with the distributor and Hempel account managers.
  • Forming tight cooperation between distributors and Sales Support Team, TSD, CC, Supply chain and PFP team
  • Forming an internal network inside Hempel to share knowledge with the distributor.
  • Supporting Marketing activities such as exhibitions, customer events, marketing campaigns, workshops, etc.

Qualifications and skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in similar position in an international company
  • Knowledge of the Coating or related industry
  • Fluent communication in Dutch & English (written and spoken, French language would an asset)
  • Technical & commercial education would be beneficial
  • Ability to communicate and work independently
  • Openness for traveling (up to 50% working time)
  • Flexibility and creativity to face challenges and provide solutions
  • Diplomatic approach towards customers
  • PC skills: Microsoft Office, CRM.
