You and your role

As Tech Lead within the Tech Domain Business Lending you are responsible for 3-4 squads in a subarea. DevOps squads are the foundation of our IT organization. They work according the S@S way of working. You ensure that they can do their job by solving barriers. You coach the squads in the transition to high performing engineering and drive the adoption of simplification and automation, you also make sure that the squads work according to tech standards and implement necessary tech priorities.

Top responsibilities:

  • Continuity: you are system owner of several applications and in that role responsible for the continuity of the applications and relevant journeys. This involves setting up a clear organisation for solving incidents, including communication, organizing proactive monitoring, creating awareness and right skills and mindset with focus on continuity, continuous evaluation and improvements;
  • Security: security is becoming more and more important. Therefore, it’s crucial that we implement all the necessary topics in time. It’s your role to make everyone aware of the urgency and make sure the right topics are implemented according to standards;
  • HR: you are HR manager for several internal colleagues. You are responsible for all the HR related topcis, eg GROW! and Great Place to Be;
  • Sourcing: It’s your responsibility to make sure that the sourcing is aligned with the purpose of the squads. This includes eg defining the key positions and keeping a good balance on internal and external positions. You work closely together with recruitment and our strategic partners to source the squads accordingly;
  • IT delivery: As Tech Lead you are responsible for the IT delivery of committed epics. This means that you step in and are drive the execution of the epic, in close alignment with the productowner. You solve impediments, align with relevant stakeholders and deliver in time.

Tribe Business Lending supports business clients with financial solutions, such as loans, credit facilities, lease and factoring solutions. It is easy to understand that Business Lending not only plays a crucial role for Rabobank, but also for the whole Dutch economy and society.

Mid 2024 the strategy for Business Lending has been recalibrated. The overall goal is to become ‘ahead of the market’. 80% of our client request should be handled through fast and seamless digital journeys. Simplification and standardization are crucial to achieve this goal. This requires a huge change, also for tech.

To achieve this change, we set up TBL Next. TBL Next focuses on the following topics:

  • People & behaviour: this transition requires change leadership, by driving the change, take ownership, put the customer first and making decisions;
  • Operational excellence: introducing one way of working for the whole tribe, including clear roles and responsibilities;
  • A new tribe setup, with reduction of interdependencies and supporting the ambition we have set;
  • Future fit tech landscape: defining the new tech landscape, that supports the ambition. With a focus on buy instead of build.

Per May 1 the new tribe setup of Business Lending will be in place. The new tribe setup consists of several subarea’s within areas. For each subarea we strive for a combination of two Tech Leads. Both Tech Leads report to the Senior Tech Lead, who is heading the tech part of the area.

Within the Tech domain Business Lending we have vacancies for Tech Leads, at scale 10-11. The ambition is to have a balanced team, with colleagues who have the energy to realize the common goal of improving the Business Lending journeys.

You and your talent:

  • Academic level of work and thinking in the field of Computer Science;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT sector;
  • Experience in the field of IT development and continuity in a managing role;
  • Experience with HR responsibility;
  • Knowledge of DevOps teams, scaled Agile, IT automation;
  • Dutch & English (business level, writing and speaking);
  • You are a team player;
  • You have execution skills to deliver committed results;
  • You have an entrepreneurial profile and change mind set;
