Job Description

What will you do?

As the Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in the data department’s data transformation strategy. You will be responsible for enabling the different business-oriented spokes in making use of the central Cloud Data Platform. Your focus will be on ensuring that we have a stable, future-proof platform and coaching the different spoke teams in making use of it. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage a portfolio of use cases and data products, and deliver value by enabling the different spoke data teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Oversee and manage the Cloud Data platform, implementing new capabilities, building ingestion pipelines and overall improving the platform;
  • Platform development Strategy: Develop and execute a detailed roadmap for the further development of the Cloud Data Platform. Striking the right balance between provisioning our spokes and improving the platform;
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the Spokes, IT risk & security and the team, ensuring all needs and regulatory requirements are fully understood and addressed;
  • Third party management: Act as the primary liaison with a third party providing a managed service on the Cloud Data Platform;
  • Use Case Management: Collaborate with the business owner and spoke teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver use cases that will drive value through the new Cloud data environment;
  • Agile Product Ownership: Manage product backlogs, define user stories, and ensure timely delivery in an Agile development environment;
  • Risk Management: Anticipate risks, challenges, and blockers throughout the project lifecycle and proactively create mitigation strategies;
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support a team of data engineers, and external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables;
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve data products based on feedback and changing business needs.

Your team

We created the data & analytics team to enable our business to deliver high quality data products using a modern Cloud Data Platform based on the Azure stack, Databricks, DBT and Terraform. The mission of this technology driven department is to ensure that data can be sourced, ingested, integrated, and consumed through well designed, automated, and simple to use services and frameworks. The platform team is an Agile team that works in close cooperation with the different business spokes and our Hybrid IT teams.

What do you bring?

  • Experience: 7+ years as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or Program Manager in a data-driven environment, with a focus on cloud-based transformations and large-scale data migrations;
  • Cloud & Data Platforms: Familiarity with Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), Power BI, data lakes, and modern data architectures;
  • Experience with finance or banking-specific regulations and compliance;
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading large programs or initiatives, ideally with a focus on cloud migrations, data modernization, and business intelligence transformation;
  • Agile Methodology: Proficiency in agile product ownership, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact solutions on time and within budget;
  • Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and business teams;
  • Certifications: Agile, Scrum, or similar certifications are a plus.
