Job Description

Start date: Q3/Q4 2025

Duration: 3-9 months

Your role:

Contribute to the Philips next generation wireless footswitch for interventional X-ray systems by prototyping a reliable wireless link, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary engineering group.

  • Propose and prototype a wireless connection used in a medical environment for a battery-powered footswitch of an interventional X-ray system. The improvement can include the selected wireless technology, the implementation of the selected technology (hardware and software), and/or redundancy.

  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary engineering team of the Electronic Systems & IoT department at Philips Innovation Engineering on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.
  • Apply your Electronics Engineering and Wireless Connectivity skills on a real product. Use your analytical, practical and experimentation skills to identify, realize and verify a solution, and use your documentation and communication skills to share results with the team and stakeholders.
