For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Department Manager Compliance.

About the role:
You will lead the Compliance Department, currently comprising of eight team members. You have a pivotal role in overall management of GRC activities, often initiated by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. in Japan. The Compliance Department is responsible for establishing GRC programs at Yamaha Motor Europe and its branches/subsidiaries and to actively manage and monitor these subjects, ensuring proper control with effective and efficient compliance procedures.

Your responsibilities:

• You will oversee and coordinate YME’s Governance and Compliance processes;
• You are a proactive leader of the compliance team who contributes to Yamaha’s compliance culture;
• You are responsible for executing, overseeing and maintaining the Risk Management Cycle within YME and its subsidiaries/branches;
• You are end-to-end responsible for performing quality checks of audit findings related to compliance and for monitoring the implementation of compliance measures within the scope of a 2nd line defense function;
• You are responsible for the follow-up of Compliance Guidelines;
• You will provide trainings/consultancy and facilitate knowledge sharing in all compliance domains;
• You will oversee the YME Privacy team in close liaison with the relevant YMC divisions.

What do you bring?

• University degree (Bachelor or higher) in Compliance or certified Compliance professional;
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar (international) role;
• A strong communicator, able to build and maintain key relationships both internally and externally;
• Strong analytical skills of data in the compliance field;
• Able to take the lead and self-starting;
• Collaboration, agility and result-oriented focus;
• Business enabler attitude;
• Able to connect the dots in a diverse international landscape;
• Good in details but also able to shift to a helicopter view.
