The IT department is fully centralized in Oostrum and closely collaborates with business teams around the globe both in their day-to-day work and in strategic improvement projects. Business and IT have defined a compelling technology vision and roadmap with exciting initiatives in the areas of digitizing customer interaction & internal processes, data, and analytics, and building robust information security and technology availability.

Functie

In this role, you work within the Business Process & Applications team. This team digitizes the Cordstrap business processes through modeling business processes, defining the business application strategy, selecting & implementing business applications, and supporting and improving these.

The team consists of 5 people: 3 business analysts, a project manager, and a Business Application Expert (this position) and collaborates closely with vendors to deliver the business application landscape. The ERP migration from Infor LX to Epicor Kinetic and the implementation of an Advanced Planning Solution are the largest projects the team is working on now.

You report and work closely together with the Global IT Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with your business application colleagues and support them on business application selection & implementation initiatives and low code & integration development projects and take the lead if needed.
• Take a leading role in the definition of the business applications vision, architecture, and roadmap in close collaboration with the Global IT Director, DnA Manager, and business representatives.
• Lead business application solution analysis and design sessions in collaboration with business and IT if needed.
• Promote and apply application architecture and design best practices and coach your business application colleagues on these.
• Develop a very good understanding of the needs, challenges, and objectives of the Cordstrap business.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Cordstrap business application landscape and ensure it is documented.
• Contribute to a reliable business applications landscape that meets the needs and objectives of the Cordstrap business.
• Keep up to date with business application technology developments and contribute to IT innovation.

Functie-eisen

You have/are:

• A relevant master’s degree or bachelor’s degree
• At least 5 years’ work experience in business applications roles in a mid-sized or large international company with a business-critical application landscape.
• Acquired deep knowledge and vast experience of:
  • Business process and applications for sales, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, and finance.
  • Business application architecture and design best practices.
  • Business application integration.
  • Software development.
  • Business application selection & implementation.
  • Relevant business application technology developments.
• Comfortable in taking the lead in analysis and design sessions with business and IT participants to analyze problems and to identify and detail solutions.
• Enjoy coaching business application colleagues in applying architecture and design best practices in their daily work.
• Know what aspects of the business application landscape need to be documented and how to get this accomplished in collaboration with your colleagues.
• Take responsibility for business application architecture and supporting your business application colleagues in any task to help accomplish the joined team goals.
• Have an affinity with the high pace of commercial manufacturing and distribution businesses.
• As a person, you are collaborative, a strong personality, energetic, and an excellent communicator.
