What you will do in this role 🧐

You are a member of the Platform organisation. Organised into three teams, they build and maintain the Sendcloud infrastructure platform our products run on. Using AWS and Kubernetes, the platform engineers are responsible for a stable foundation of our engineering work, providing the tools and procedures to our software engineers to develop, deploy and run the Sendcloud system. Sendcloud integrates various carriers and online stores in a fast and intuitive tool. We release early and often. For this role, we’re looking for someone who can bring a focus on platform security to the team.

• You have at least 3 years of experience working as an Infrastructure/Cloud/Platform Engineer.
• You have affinity with security principles and knowledge of compliance requirements and auditing processes.
• You have knowledge of and experience with AWS, particularly EKS (Kubernetes).
• You have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
• Your code is always under test and version control (we use Git).
• You understand how to manage a release process using CI/CD.
• You know your way around Linux and how to work on the command-line.
• You understand and design your code with observability in production in mind.
• You have strong experience with Kubernetes, Helm and running production (micro)services.
• You have knowledge of Distributed systems, including containerized (micro)services, highly scalable web applications, and authentication frameworks.
• You have experience with lifecycle management of containerized workloads, with a focus on vulnerability scanning and prevention.
• You know what it takes to build high quality software on a professional basis.
• You are eager to learn and keep improving yourself. You're up to date about the latest technologies and a passionate Engineer.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• You are a team player and you like to share your opinion and knowledge.

This position is open to worldwide candidates that are willing to relocate. We offer (in-house) relocation assistance, which will make sure that you have a smooth relocation process. 🏠

• A relocation allowance of €1.500 (net) to help you cover the costs of your move to the Netherlands.
• A flight ticket to the Netherlands for you (and your partner and children moving with you, if applicable);
