Field Service Engineer – EMEAI

Introduction

As a Field Service Engineer at LUMICKS, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our advanced research instruments. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our specialized C-Traps and m-Traps tools at customer sites. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in supporting our customers and contributing to the success of their research endeavors.

This is a traveling role where you will spend 50-70% of your time on the road, travel is primarily within EU.

What are my tasks and responsibilities?

  • Installation and Commissioning: install and configure LUMICKS C-Trap and m-Trap at customer locations. Perform optics alignment, calibration and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing of LUMICKS C-Trap and m-Trap.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Execute repairs and replace faulty components as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.

What about my skills & competencies?

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer in life science instruments and/or with advanced optical systems.
  • Experience with servicing optical systems or imaging systems, such as microscopes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong hands-on mentality.
  • Proven ability to work independently with high efficiency.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse customers and team members.
  • Understanding what it means to contribute to customer satisfaction as a service engineer for high-capital equipment.

LUMICKS brengt een revolutionaire nieuwe technologie naar de markt die een enorme impact op biomedisch onderzoek.
LUMICKS is opgericht in 2014, is een erg snel groeiende bedrijf dat inmiddels een volwassen productportfolio heeft en >1M aan sales in het eerste volle bestaansjaar.

De technologie van LUMICKS maakt het mogelijk om voor het eerst de interacties "live" te filmen tussen DNA en andere moleculen , wat al vruchten heeft afgeworpen in onderzoek naar het ontstaan van borstkanker bij vrouwen die hier genetisch aanleg voor hebben (het RAD51 gen).

Het LUMICKS team houdt kantoor aan de VU in Amsterdam, bestaat uit 18 mensen uit verschillende landen en er heerst een dynamische en flexibele werksfeer.
