Fleet Cleaner is a rapidly growing, innovative organization that cleans and inspects ships with the use of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV). Within our engineering department, the software team is responsible for the development and maintenance of web applications, cloud infrastructure, advanced control systems and automation of our ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles).

As a Software Engineer, you will work in a team of 16 software and hardware engineers on the digital backbone of our organization. You play a crucial role in connecting operational processes, integrating different data sources and developing smart, hybrid solutions.

You will build and optimize data pipelines, automate workflows and use both high-code and low-code solutions to generate real-time insights. By combining data science and data engineering, you will contribute to the continuous operation and efficiency of our cleaning plants and inspection robots. This includes predicting fouling, analyzing operational data and developing systems that proactively schedule maintenance.

Work activities

In the role of Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the following work:

• You will design the cloud environment where data from various sources is integrated.
• You will develop, test and maintain software for our applications and cloud systems so that customers and internal teams can easily perform analysis and visualize data;
• You contribute to the automation of operational processes;
• You ensure that data is structured and stored in an efficient manner within Microsoft Azure so that our systems function optimally;
• You will support operational teams during software failures and work on improvements within the existing software infrastructure.

Job Requirements

In order to perform the position of Software Engineer well, we ask the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar;
• Experience with programming in Python and working within a cloud environment;
• Experience with SQL servers, and Azure cloud environment is a plus;
• You are good at working independently as well as collaborating in a team.

• A salary between 3.000,- and 5.000,- gross, depending on experience;
• Vacation allowance of 8% and 25 vacation days for full-time employment;
