About this job
We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager Nanofabrication to join the team in Delft.
As Senior Project Manager Nanofabrication, you will predominantly work in the Quantum Technology field, but will have frequent interaction with other areas of expertise, and participate in several projects in direct or indirect collaboration with other partners.
This is a job with impact, where you contribute to the development of key enabling technology in an ever rapidly growing ecosystem!
Main responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of cutting-edge technology. Your responsibilities will include collaboration with colleagues and partners to turn creative concepts into practical, impactful solutions, and transforming ideas into feasible solutions.
- Drive Innovation: Focus on developing advanced hardware and innovative production processes
- Contribute to the growth of key enabling technology in a rapidly expanding ecosystem
- Manage Multiple Projects: Oversee nanofabrication of diamond-based quantum devices
- Lead project proposals, manage budgets, and ensure financial stability
- Monitor risks, track milestones, and support teams in meeting goals, including progress management
- Translate client needs into detailed plans and ensure timely, on-budget delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering
- Proven track record in project management experience with large R&D projects, especially in hardware manufacturing
- Strong expertise in project management practices (costing, risk management, resource planning, milestone preparation, procurement, etc.)
- Experience in quantum technology or nanofabrication is a plus (not required).
- IPMA certification or equivalent is a plus (not mandatory)
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
- Strong people management skills with experience leading multi-disciplinary, diverse teams
- Ability to stay resilient under pressure and manage stress effectively
- Ability to work productively in teams and demonstrate flexibility in thinking
- Fluency, both written and spoken, in English
