This is a great opportunity to join Danone’s tax team based in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. We're looking for a practical yet hands-on Indirect Tax manager to join our team. The main focus will be on the Netherlands, but you will have regular interaction on indirect tax matters with our tax team in Belgium.

In this role, you will be part of Danone’s corporate tax team that is based in the Netherlands and France. You will report to the Global Category Tax Director & Transfer Pricing Lead based in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for all indirect tax matters of the Dutch entities, which are involved in many cross-border transactions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders such as Danone Business Services, Finance, Sales and General Secretary in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as the Dutch and foreign tax authorities. In addition, you will have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives about ESG taxes and tax transparency. From time to time you will be required to travel to other Danone locations. The main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance on VAT and other related indirect tax matters
• Maintain our Tax Control Framework, and update where and when relevant
• Define the indirect tax compliance strategy of the Dutch businesses and ensure execution
• Ensure the requirements under the Individual Monitoring Plan are met
• Manage and coach VAT colleagues in the Netherlands and Belgium
• Manage the relationships with Danone Business Services (AP, AR, IT, MD)
• Contribute on ad hoc basis to projects, or launches of new operating models
• Assist with further automation of indirect taxation and processes
• Lead the annual global total tax contribution campaign and assist on tax transparency
• Provide training and advice to the business on processes, trends and developments
• Ensure the follow-up of indirect tax law changes in SAP and our processes
• Provide audit support and deal with questions from foreign authorities
• Be a business partner on all indirect tax matters
• Manage the relationships with external service providers

A propos de vous

• The ideal candidate has a background in taxation
• You have around +10 years of relevant indirect tax experience
• You have experience in advisory and in-house in an international context
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and good business acumen
• You are a problem-solver with a can-do attitude
• You are a good communicator and thrive on forging relationships
• You have a strong interest in the continuous improvement of processes
• You have experience with VAT Automation. SAP is considered a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken
