The Global Manufacturing and Beauty Operations team delivers manufacturing technology and solutions for the mass production of Dyson’s innovative product technology through partnership with our design, quality and commercial organisations, as well as with our suppliers and contract manufacturers. Our operations team continuously drives reductions in our supply costs, and improvements in our quality and delivery performance ensuring our products are delivered on time to our customers with the highest standards.
An Operations Project Manager’s (OPM) sole focus is delivering the collaborative effort of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain cross-team to efficiently introduce a new Dyson project. They are the orchestrator of many specialists spanning the manufacturing and supply chain organisation.
From detailed design development to mass production, they coordinate the activities of others in the interest of the Project, many of whom may be globally distributed, to deliver a successful product launch.
They work in tandem with a Design Manager, with the former being focused on what the Product ‘Is’ and the OPM being responsible for ‘how’ it is manufactured and realized to market.
