Internship | Continuous time sigma-delta ADC for Build-in-Test-Circuits

About this position

The use of build-in-test-circuits allows to test circuits without connecting test equipment. This eases verification and debugging after mounting the circuit in a bigger system. A digital readout is more easy to use as a digital interface is already present to control several settings in a circuit. Therefore, an ADC to convert analogue test-points into digital signals is convenient. As it is an auxiliary circuit, high performance is not required, but compact size is important.

What will be your role?

This project aims to investigate a compact, low speed, continuous time sigma delta ADC with on-chip decimation filter.

The research can start by a literature search on such circuits, make an overview of possible options, advantages and disadvantages. Followed by implementation using a BiCMOS technology.

What we expect from you

You are in the final stages of your degree in electrical engineering or a similar degree and have a background in analogue/RF IC design. You have preferably experience with Cadence, you are pragmatic and focused on making things work. Next to technical expertise, we value communication skills and a results-driven attitude.
