What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build & develop our customer network in Europe (focused on West Europe and Spain).
  • New business activities plus expanding business from our existing customer database.
  • The Key Account Manager will follow up on leads from and come up with initiatives to rapidly build & develop the customer network.
  • Sell value and services to both SaaS and transportation prospects and clients.
  • Affinity with the IT world and digitalization of logistics.
  • Affinity with transportation world.
  • Sustainability focus and commitment to the CtrlChain vision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the team and collaborate with a diverse team of CtrlChain colleagues.
  • Develop and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Develop new business acquisition using your online and offline network.
  • Ensure excellent support to customers.
  • Come up with initiatives to increase our customer network.
  • Value selling (software and transportation).
  • Time management.

Main tasks:

  • Manage and keep track of achievement of sales targets.
  • Initiate plans to expand portfolio and/or grow the business individually (and as a team).
  • Have a team player attitude and proactively collaborate with the team.
  • Keep track of your accounts by having an up-to-date pipeline admin within our CRM.
  • Pro-actively manage your agenda with a good mix of both new business and existing business activities leading to opportunities for substantial growth.
  • Master the complete process from lead to first shipment and further.
  • Learn and coach our clients on what added values our unique CtrlChain system can bring to our clients logistics processes.
  • Perform business reviews for the bigger accounts (Quarter business reviews).
  • Act as senior sparring partner with customers, help them solving issues within transportation, through software and/or transport services.
  • Perform cold calling, follow up and collaborate closely with Marketing and colleagues to improve our market reach.

Who You Are

Requirements and skills:

  • A completed HBO commercial degree or proven work experience at the same level.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in (Key) Account Manager positions.
  • Experience in logistics and Supply Chain background.
  • Advanced Dutch (or C2) and professional English skills.
  • Preferred third language Spanish.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience building and growing new business and account-based sales.
  • Experienced in Value Selling.
  • Experience in B2B (in transportation) is a nice-to-have.
