You start your day by going through your emails and walking around production, interacting with inspectors, mechanics, electricians, and project buyers to get a good understanding of current areas of concern.
After your tour of production, you review new rejection forms and recognize some recurring problems with a particular supplier. You organize an online meeting to discuss this problem with the supplier, you do this together with the responsible buyer and ask for a root cause analysis, you set a corrective action and a deadline for them to work out a preventive action.
After a cup of coffee with your colleagues, you prepare the monthly dashboard to feed back quality performance figures to our key module builders. While you are working on this, you get a call from production to look into a critical issue they are having, so you go to the production hall to get a better understanding of the situation and advise on how to proceed.
You are busy in the afternoon finalizing a quality improvement plan proposal for a poorly performing assembly partner. Next week you are going to them in Poland to conduct a quality audit where you also want to present your proposal in person and create an action plan together to see progress.
Tomorrow is another busy day to make a difference! 😊
