Internship | Improving Text2Cypher generation for code analysis

About this position

As software complexity grows, retrieving insights from large codebases becomes challenging. Code graphs using Cypher queries help, but non-experts struggle with query formulation. Text2Cypher bridges this gap by converting natural language queries into Cypher. However, existing models face challenges with ambiguity, context, and domain adaptation. This project improves Text2Cypher by fine-tuning models and integrating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to enhance accuracy.

What will be your role?

Are you ready to revolutionize the way we interact with code? In this project, you’ll dive into the exciting world of Text2Cypher, where natural language meets powerful code graph queries. You’ll explore and compare fine-tuning LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions to make querying code more intuitive and accessible.

You won’t be working alone—your contributions will be part of a dynamic team, with mentorship and collaboration. This is your chance to tackle real-world challenges, enhance AI-powered search, and shape the future of software analysis.

What we expect from you

• WO (University-level) student in Computer Science, AI, or Software Engineering.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Python and C++.
• AI/ML knowledge, including NLP and LLMs.
• Familiarity with graph databases and Cypher is a plus.
