As a data engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the fundamentals of data systems. You will develop the infrastructure to store, transform and process data at scale and in the cloud. You will ensure that data is stored securely with the technology that you see fit for the job. You will be working and learning from different environments, teams, and industries.

What you will do to make data-intensive applications work effectively and securely?

With your knowledge of software engineering, cloud, clusters, queues, containers, streaming, or graphs, you will work on the backbone of the data infrastructure. There is a lot of data to store, a lot of jobs to execute and plan, and many configurations to be dealt with. But don’t worry, this is where you’ll thrive. You’ll work with the customer in teams mixed by Xebians and the client, and pick up work related to the backbone the team is building on.

Who are we looking for?

The Data Engineer role is a senior position with a central role in our clients’ teams, and therefore we ask for a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. That said, we like to be amazed: so if you have done something special, such as contributing to open source projects or starting your own company, we encourage you to apply, regardless of your level of experience.
